As soon as my junior year of high school hit, one of the first things I thought of was Prom. It’s my first year that I can go to Prom, and “excited” is an understatement.
Prom is three weeks away, and it seems that that’s all everyone can talk about. From going dress shopping to thinking of the perfect promposal, prom is one of the most anticipated nights of high school. And everyone is preparing.
Junior Isabelle Helm is beyond thrilled for Prom night. “I am so excited! I made my hair appointment and picked out my dress. It’s my first time going, and I have everything planned out to the max. I’m going with a huge group of people, so I know it’s guaranteed that I will have a great night,” Helm said.
Junior Lyndsey Wheeler feels the same way. “It’s my first time going to prom, and I am really looking forward to it. All of my upperclassmen friends last year told me how great it was, and I couldn’t wait to experience it for myself,” Wheeler said.
It’s my first year for Prom as well, and I cannot downplay my giddiness. I gush over my dress everyday and I stay up late every night on Pinterest trying to find the perfect hairstyle. I’m like a giggly little school girl, and I feel no shame.
Prom is Saturday, April 30, at Music Hall. The event starts at 9 pm and ends at 11 pm. I could not think of a more perfect location for such a perfect night.
While prom is still three weeks away, the time will go by in a snap. So everyone get ready, and start preparing for the best night of your life.
